— Doug Glener - Freelance writer and author. —
Here's everything you need to know about me in 30 seconds.
I've been working as a writer since 1989 and founded Catalyst Creative Services in 1992. It's a one-person shop, and I've kept it that way on purpose to ensure that my clients get unparalleled copy that produces outstanding results.
Some of America's most prestigious companies and famous individuals have turned to me for help with their marketing and communications efforts. I've also authored a book, as well as numerous articles for trade and general interest magazines.
Before founding Catalyst, I served as the creative director/senior writer at Rubenstein Public Relations, one of Manhattan's largest agencies. Prior to Rubenstein, I was a staff writer at Porter Henry and Company, a well-known instructional design/marketing company based in New York.
I graduated from Vassar College in 1986 with a B.A. in English (honors). After graduation, I spent the first few years working as a professional musician (my band appeared on Star Search).
I hold a black belt in Aikido; sit on the board of directors for the Dharma Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to "uniting the best of East and West"; and was a community advisor to the Brookline Arts Center before moving to California.
